Handover

The holiday home

The house everyone uses and only one knows

Where is the main water valve? How do you close up for the winter? Who has the key, and who pays the chimney sweep? In Handover the holiday home gets its own handbook, for the whole family and for your guests.

A household of its own

A holiday home is not a home

When you create a household in Handover, you choose whether it is your home or a holiday home. A holiday home gets the questions that fit a house you arrive at and leave again. Have both? Switch between them from the name at the top of the overview.

The season

Opening the house, closing for the winter, what to do when you leave, and who looks in meanwhile.

Sharing the house

Who uses it when, how the costs are shared, the house rules and the agreement between the owners.

Renting it out

Agency or yourselves, what to do between guests, and how the rental income is handled.

The whole family

Shared between families

Many holiday homes are owned by brothers and sisters, or passed down. Invite everyone who uses the house, so they all read the same and can add to it.

  • The house, the keys and people to call are there, just as at home.
  • The codes for the alarm and the key box are kept in a sealed envelope.
  • Reminders for what comes every year: the chimney sweep, the insurance, closing for winter.

Guest pages

For those who borrow or rent the house

Make a guest page with exactly what your guests need: arrival, heating, rubbish, Wi-Fi and the house rules.

  • Guests need no app and no account: a link in a text message, or a sheet you print and leave on the table.
  • It closes by itself after the last day, and you can stop it at any time.
  • The Wi-Fi code and the key-box code can come along, protected by an extra code.
  • For the next guests: the same content, a new link.
